The Amethyst Women's Addiction Centre in Ottawa encourages women to create healthy lifestyle changes, by helping them take control of their lives. The SJF sponsored project “Stress Management for Women at Risk” provides educational information on identifying negative stress and how it impacts on health. The aim is to reach diverse and marginalized women living in poverty to assist them. The funds also enable women and their children to cover transportation to attend programs at the Amethyst House.
